Nyungwe is one of the oldest mountain rainforests in Africa, unchanged for over 2 million years, and home to 13 primate species, 29 Albertine Rift endemic birds, and over 1,000 plant species. An extraordinary day combining two of Nyungwe’s signature experiences. Morning chimpanzee tracking follows the calls of one of Africa’s largest chimp communities — up to 500 individuals occupying Nyungwe’s forest territories.
